Uses: One component contact adhesive for permanently elastic bonding of highly elastic NR (natural rubber) based rubber with the same material or with textile or metal (metal only with the aid of ELASTOSAL NR 200 metal bonding agent)

APPLICATION:

1) PRE-TREATMENT SURFACE

Make sure that surfaces to be glued are clean, dry, fat-free and oil-free. Please wash rubber and metal with ELASTOSAL Lösit MEK and leave to dry completely (for approx 30 min at room temperature). Slightly roughen smooth surfaces if possible (sandblast metals) and remove all dust residues. Slightly roughen textile surfaces. Take care not to burn fabric.

Please note: ELASTOSAL NR 200 is absolutely necessary for the pre-treatment of metal surfaces.

2) APPLICATION AND DRYING

We recommend application of two layers. Use a brush to apply a thin and even layer on both surfaces to be glued.

Leave the first layer to dry well (for approx 30 min at room temperature). Leave the second layer to dry (for approx 10 min at room temperature) and join the two elements afterwards.

3) JOINING

Put the joining elements accurately together and exert high contact pressure (eg using a roller or hammer. It is important that gluing surfaces have complete contact to each other. Ultimate strength is reached after 72 hours.

Please note: The recommended application conditions include a temperature of about 15 – 25 °C and a relative air humidity of 30 – 65 %. In the event of extreme weather conditions, such as cold or rain, take necessary protection measures like extra roofing, hot air supply at the workplace in order to create the appropriate application conditions.
